About the artist
If you follow LEWITT, you’ve probably seen Maria on our social media. But she’s also the artist behind EYESHALFSHUT, a project that thrives on raw emotion, eerie textures, and a bit of sonic chaos.
"ASPARTAME" is a song about addiction, deception, and things that taste sweet but destroy you on the inside. The rhythm section uses foley sounds recorded with LCT 540 S, the quietest mic on the market. The vocals were also recorded with LCT 540 S and heavily post-processed into synth-like shapes thanks to the microphone’s low self-noise.

A: Well, be creative! Do you want to sing your own version? Go for it. Do you want to replace keys with screaming goats? Sample away!

Simply upload your remix to Soundcloud or YouTube, and submit your remix here. Make sure to use the proper graphic, otherwise your entry will be disqualified.

The LEWITT team will listen to the remixes and pick their favorite 3 entries.
